<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can display as much reference information as possible without being restricted by the shapes or sizes of windows, displaying areas of additional information, etc., nor deteriorating the visibility, and, at the same time, can minimize the omission of information displayed on an operational screen. SOLUTION: When the display of reference information is instructed, the window management data used for the current window management are transferred to a second window management data holding means 4b from a first window management data holding means 4a. When the the reference information is displayed, window management is performed based on the window management data held by the second holding means 4b. The transferred window management data are changed to those suitable for displaying the reference information. The information generated by an application 6 for reference is displayed in the part of the background section which is not concealed by the window.</p> |
