<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate pilot signals without performing any complex processing for encoding by changing and outputting a code word having a CDS value selected for each particular cycle to be used as a pilot signal. SOLUTION: Information data which is inputted in a state of being divided for each m-bit to an input terminal 1 is encoded by an encoder 2 by referring to an encoding table 3, then converted into a code word for each n-bit (n>m), provided with redundancy so as to suppress the divergence of the DSV value and then outputted as an output code. The encoder 2 performs conversion rule control, based on track information and track area information outputted from a recording timing controller 5. A system controller 4 produces a motor control signal and supplies a synchronizing signal to the recording timing controller 5 in synchronization with the motor control signal. An output code from the encoder 2 is converted into serial data by a P/S converting circuit 6, supplied to a recording head 8 and recorded in a recording medium 9.</p> |
