The side face (5) of the swivel catch (3) with the auxiliary locking surface (12) is slightly spaced in front of a counterpart surface (13). This causes the locking surface to ride freely past the surface on the lock housing (1) or lock plate, when the catch is swivelled. When locked, tearing or pulling forces caused by accidents, displace the reaction force applied to the catch by the locking pawl (8), so that the two locking surfaces necessarily engage one another. An additional counter-locking surface incorporated in the main surface lockably engages the catch together with the locking surface in response to tearing or pulling forces. The pawl forms a pressure-loaded supportive component and the two locking surfaces consist of several individual locking faces in finely punched raster form. An additional pawl (15) of classic shape is tripped in synchronism with the main pawl.
