<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vulcanized rubber suppressed in the electrostatic adhesion of paper dust and reduced in the tendency to lower in a coefficient of friction with the lapse of time, and a paper feed/conveying rubber roller made thereof by using a rubber composition containing a specified highly hydrophilic low- electric-resistance rubber. SOLUTION: This vulcanized rubber is prepared by vulcanizing a rubber composition which optionally contains at most 15wt.% carbon black and has an advancing contact angleθa with water of below 110 deg. and a retracting contact angleθb with water of below 70 deg.. It is desirable that the rubber component contains at least one member selected from the group consisting of epichlorohydrin rubbers, acrylic rubbers, acrylonitrile/butadiene rubbers and hydrogenated acrylonitrile/butadiene rubbers. It is desirable in order to attain excellent ozone resistance that the rubber component further contains an ethylene/diene rubber in addition to this rubber member having high hydrophilicity and high electric resistance.</p> |
