PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form practicable timbre having unexpectedness and novelty by adding a change to prescribed timbre data or the timbre data selected for changing the timbre data, storing this timbre data and selecting the timbre data to be used for formation of musical tones from a plurality of the timbre data. SOLUTION: Ten pieces of the timbre data in order of higher use frequencies are selected from, for example, 100 kinds of the timbre data stored in the timbre data storage area in a control section 12 and two pieces of the timbre data randomly selected therefrom are formed as the master timbre data. The slave timbre data is formed in accordance with two pieces of such master data. Whether the change is further added to the freshly formed timbre data or not is determined in a probability manner and the change is added to the timbre data. The similar processing is repeated with all of 10 pieces (five sets) of the selected timbre data. Five pieces of the timbre data freshly formed in such a manner are stored in a timbre data storage area. |
