PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for the operating elements to be exclusively used for contrast adjustment by automatically raising the set mode of the contrast and executing the contrast adjustment right after turning on of a power source by the temporarily allocated operating element, then resetting this operating element to an intrinsic function. SOLUTION: The adjustment function of the contrast of an LCD display 6 is temporarily allocated to the specific operating element, such as encoder 7, at the time of rising the power source. When the operating element or key exclusive of this specific operating element is operated after the adjustment of the contrast is executed by operating this operating element, the adjustment function of the contrast of the specific operating element is reset to the intrinsic function of the operating element. Namely, a control section 12 has a detecting section 11. When this detecting section 11 detects that the operating element or key exclusive of the specific operating element is operated, the adjustment function of the contrast allocated to this specific operating element is turned off and is returned to the intrinsic function of the operating element and the electronic musical instrument is set at a playing mode. |
