PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor of a user, and to improve Japanese syllabary/ Chinese character converting efficiency by using a word registered as personal information in a personal information managing function. SOLUTION: When Japanese syllabary character data are inputted from an inputting part 6, the Japanese syllabary character data are retrieved in a dictionary stored in an ROM 4, and converted into Chinese character data by a Japanese syllabary/Chinese character converting part 7. When the Japanese syllabary character data are not retrieved, the data are retrieved in PIM (personal information management) function data stored in a PIM data storing part 10 of an RAM 5, and converted into the Chinese character data. Thus, the Japanese syllabary character data such as a proper noun which is not registered in the dictionary can be converted into the Chinese character data by using the PIM function data of the PIM data storing part 10. |
