PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, safe, and economical device which migrates simultaneously plural gels per electrophoresis, by installing a power supply into the cover of a migration vessel and by attaching a gel-holder on a cooling box which is set on the body of the migration vessel and has a specific cold insulator. SOLUTION: A power supply 2 for electrophoresis is contained in the handle of the cover 1 of an electrophoresis vessel. A cooling box 4 which is a polyethylene container filled with cold insulator consisting of 57wt.% water, 35wt.% calcium chloride, and 8wt.% calcium hydroxide is cooled to -10 deg.C in a freezing chamber and then installed on the bottom of the electrophoresis vessel 3. Electrophoresis is performed after placing plural gel-holders containing gel added with a sample on the cooling box 4. This device configuration is economical without need of any expensive cooling device. In addition, this device has high heat-reserve performance in cold insulator, has high cooling efficiency because buffer material in the electrophoresis vessel 3 is directly cooled, has well resolution because temperature increase of buffer material during electrophoresis is small, and prevents sample deactivation, therefore electrophoresis is available for variable samples. |
