PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the error correcting method and system for memory data which can reduce the size of a buffer for storing the data and decrease the amount of data added for data abnormality detection and correction when ECC(error correction code) data are generated at the transfer of data block. SOLUTION: One data block 10 is divided into data arrays 20a, 20b... To those divided data arrays 20a, 20b..., parity bits (P) 30a, 30b... for data abnormality detection are added respectively. Further, the ECC data 40 are added to the data blocks so as to correct data abnormality of all of the data blocks 10. |
