<p>An apparatus and a method are provided for monitoring an animal space (1). A conduit means (15, 16) is provided to produce a flow of a fluid and has an outlet (19, 20) provided to direct said flow into said space. A sensor (25, 26) is provided to sense a fluid-related variable of the flow and a processing unit (27, 28) is adapted to determine the presence of an animal in said space (1) in response to said sensor (25, 26). Furthermore, the processing unit (27, 28) may be provided to determine the position of an animal part of an animal in said space (1).</p> |
