FIELD: devices for production of flux-cores wires. SUBSTANCE: drive stands of forming mill impart to initial strip the shape of U-shaped trough. Batcher of belt-type fills the trough with powder filler. Then billet is fed to compactor of powder in trough. Powder compactor is made in the form of stand with upper drive roll. Vertical stand of forming mill form U-shaped billet into tubular billet. Tubular billet is fed to device for closing lock and to reducing unit which includes reducing three-high stand and sizing three-roller drawing die. EFFECT: improved quality of wire due to increased fill factor and reduced wire out-of-roundness. 5 dwge
