FIELD: materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: device has upper cable 28 placed between base 12 and hook 31a of crane 31, lower cable 32 whose base end is secured to base and is coupled with part 11a of heavy load 11 designed for coupling with lifting member. Ring 32a on front end of cable 32 is fitted on support 17 mounted on base. Slider 18 installed on support for sliding is lifted by means of first resilient member so that upper part of slider is installed on upper part of support, and slider lowering device 33 lowers the slider by overcoming elastic force built by first resilient member. Interlocking device locks for a time slider lowering device when slider is being lowered and unlocking device releases interlocking device. Lower lifting member can be automatically disconnected from heavy load lowered on preset place. Heavy load of any shape can be lowered on preset place without damage to tensioning member and without coupling of member with crane hook. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 16 cl, 27 dwg
