<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small encoder which is miniaturized by about 50% compared with conventional models, and which has a simple construction applicable to manufacturing. SOLUTION: In an encoder in which the rotary shaft of a timing disc is adjusted so as to be aligned with the center of a motor shaft 2 in state where a splittable case for housing the timing disc 10 is flanged-fixed to a motor 1, the case is formed of a base and a case-upper part 11 which can be fitted to each other, and a bayonet segment 5 which engages with a corresponding relief 12 of the case-upper part, is arranged on the base in a ring manner. On the outer edge or near the outer edge of the base, a guide face 5b which forms a sliding guide together with a corresponding facing face of the case-upper part to act together in the circumferential direction by rotateion at the time of insertion, is formed. A thrust collar 16 which is concentric with the motor shaft to align the timing disc 10 with the motor shaft 2, is provided on the roof face of the case-upper part.</p> |
