<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always straighten curl in a specified range of paper neither too much nor too little over a range which is almost nearly the entire surface of a fixing processing paper in accordance with the curled degree of the paper. SOLUTION: Two pairs of rollers 26, 26, and 27, 27 applying tension to fixing processing paper and feeding the paper are arranged, and plural curl straightening members 29a and 29b having nearly the same length in which the radius of curvature of curl straightening operation ends is made different from each other are uniaxially and turnably provided between the pairs of rollers so as to selectively straighten the curl of the paper. The curl straightening member having curl straightening operation end in accordance with the curl degree of the paper is selected based on the detection information of the curl degree, and the posture of the curl straighten member can be changed to a first condition A that the paper is straightened in the vicinity of the pair of rollers 27 and 27 in the case the paper leading end is nipped by the pair of rollers 27 and 27 on the downstream side, and to a second condition B that the paper is straightened in the vicinity of the pair of rollers 26 and 26 before the paper trailing end is released from being nipped by the pair of rollers 26 and 26 on the upstream side.</p> |
