PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of cracks even if a heater having a thermal expansion coefficient different from that of zirconia, by superposing an oxygen sensor body on a heater body so that the cell section and the heater may be opposed, and fixing a part of them with a holding member. SOLUTION: The oxygen sensor body A has an oxygen sensor cell section and this cell section is composed of a long solid electrolyte 1 made of zirconia, a measuring electrode 2, a reference electrode 4 provided on an air inlet 3 side. Moreover, taking-out electrodes 5 are provided respectively for individual electrodes 2, 4. While, a heater body B has a heater 7 made out of tungsten, etc., in an insulating material 6 of alumina and so on. The same planes of this sensor body A and the heater body B are superposed on each other by a positional relation which makes the heater 7 heatable the cell. And, the superposed substance C joined to a U-shaped holding member 9 made out of ceramic, and parts of the bodies A, B and the holding member 9 are stuck and fixed with a heat-resisting joining agent 10 such as alumina cement and so on. Consequently, it becomes possible to prevent the generation of splits at an operating temperature caused by the difference of the thermal expansion coefficients of the both. |
