GRINDING METHOD OF ALUMINUM WHEEL, GRINDING MEDIA USED THEREFOR, AND BARREL POLISHING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the gloss finish process of an aluminum wheel by performing the barrel polishing in a grinding tank in which the mixed metallic media where the spherical metallic media and the non-spherical metallic media are mixed are charged. SOLUTION: The media for grinding are the mixed metallic media 1 in which the spherical metallic media 3 and the sputnik type metallic media as the non-spherical metallic media are mixed with each other. The non-spherical metallic media 2 of the mode mixed in the spherical metallic media 3 and/or of different size are mixedly present in the array of the spherical metallic media 3 to demonstrate the effect to disturb the regular array. The non-spherical metallic media 2 of 2-10 pts.vol. is mixed with the spherical metallic media 3 of 10 pts.vol. An aluminum wheel and the mixed metallic media 1 are wet with the compound solution and the barrel polishing is performed while the excessive compound solution is discharged from a tank bottom of a work to be ground.
