<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dazzlement, and secure a sufficient irradiating light quantity to a space with the other vehicle by detecting a distance from the other vehicle such as a vehicle running in the opposite direction, and irradiating the light while changing an irradiating range continuously or in stages so that this other vehicle is excluded from the irradiating range according to its distance. SOLUTION: An inter-vehicle distance detecting part 12 detects an inter- vehicle distance from the other vehicle such as a vehicle running in the opposite direction from a propagational duration required until its reflected beam is received after a laser radar head 13 sends a laser beam, and a data processor 11 stores a detected inter-vehicle distance in a data memory 15. It is sent out to a headlight control part 19 through an input-output interface part 14 in parallel to this, and a lighting function of a headlight 18 is controlled by continuously controlling an extension-contraction degree of an extensible-contractible shaft of a linear motor according to a distance from a detected vehicle running in the opposite direction. A lighting range of the headlight 18 of one's own vehicle can be constituted so as to be changed in stages.</p> |
