<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain reclaimed pulp hardly containing residual ink and having high whiteness and high quality by using a composition containing a specific fatty acid derivative as a deinking agent for printed waste paper. SOLUTION: This deinking agent is obtained by compounding a fatty acid derivative represented by the formula R<1> -O-(PO)m -CH2 -COOM [R<1> is an 8-24C alkyl or alkenyl; PO is propylene oxide unit; (m) is 2-30; M is an alkali (earth) metal, ammonium or H] with a compound represented by the formula R<2> - O-(AO)n H [R<2> is an 8-24C alkyl or alkenyl; AO is 2-4C oxyalkylene unit; (n) is positive number of 1-120] in (95/5) to (5/95), preferably (60/40) to (5/95) weight ratio. The deinking agent in an amount of 0.05-5wt.%, preferably 0.1-2wt.% is added to printed waste paper to carry out deinking treatment of the waste paper.</p> |
