摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting the position of magnetic pole of a rotary electric machine which can continuously detect the position of the magnetic pole of the rotary electric machine even when the signal line of a sensor is disconnected. SOLUTION: In a device for detecting the position of magnetic pole which is provided with a disk 2 and three regularly positioned sensors 3A, 3B, and 3C so that the device can detect the position of the magnetic pole of a rotary electric machine by detecting the reference position of the magnetic pole at every 60 deg. electrical angle from a combination of output pulses PU, PV, and PW and the relative position of the pole with a rotary encoder, an arithmetic means is constituted so that the means can compute the position of the magnetic pole by using the present electrical-angle rotating speed based on the output signal of the encoder and control sample time by software on the basis of the position of the magnetic pole detected at the preceding time when one of signal lines for electrically transmitting the signals P1 , P2 , and P3 of the sensors is disconnected or from the electrical-angle rotating speed estimated from reference positional signals detected at π/3 intervals obtained from the pulses PU, PV, and PW and the measured results of the changing duration of the reference positional signals when the signal line for electrically transmitting the output signal of the rotary encoder is disconnected.
