PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently clean the internal surface of a roll to be made by a method wherein a fluid for cleaning is rapidly fed in a vertically movable pipe which is inserted in the roll to be made through a chuck hole on the upper end surface of the roll, and the fluid for cleaning is jetted in the radial direction of the roll from a nozzle on the lower end of the vertically movable pipe. SOLUTION: By the driving of a motor 5, a roll R to be made rotates at an extremely low revolution number, and a first pump 17a and an agitating device 20, and a motor 9f operate. From a first tank 19a, a mixed liquid of water and a polishing particle are pumped up by the first pump 17a, and the pressure is raised to an ultra-high pressure, and the mixed liquid flows to a first nozzle 14a which is provided on the lower external part of a vertically movable pipe 8 through a first vertical pipe 16a, a first flexible pipe 15a, a supporting pipe 10, a connecting pipe 11 and the first thin pipe out of four thin pipes which are passed in the internal space of the vertically movable pipe 8, and the mixed liquid of the ultra-high pressure, of water and the polishing particle, is jetted to the internal surface of the roll R to be engraved, which is being rotated, from the nozzle 14a. This mixed liquid is thoroughly jetted to the internal surface of the roll R, in the circumferential direction. |
