<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound useful of the therapy of infectious diseases caused by bacterial pathogens, especially methicillin-resistant staphylo coccus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. SOLUTION: This compound a cephalosporin derivative of formula I [X is CH, N; R<1> is H, cyclopently; R<2> is a group of formula II (R<4> is H, iminiomethyl, 1-carbamimidoyl, etc.), etc.; R<3> is H, an alkali metal ion, a tertiary ammonium], its ester, and its salt, etc., and a compound of formula III is cited, for example. The compound of formula I is obtained e.g. by treating a compound of formula IV with a carboxylic acid of formula V (R<f> is H, an amino- protecting group; R<1> ' is H, cyclopently, etc.). The compound of formula I is thus useful as the objective antibiotic.</p> |
