<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recording liquid being not problematic in nozzle plugging and improved in delivery stability, water resistance and light resistance by using a specified dye containing a sulfo group and a ballast group. SOLUTION: A dye in an amount of 0.1-25mol.% having at least one sulfo group and a 10C or higher ballast group and represented by the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are each an alkyl or an aryl; R3 is H or a substituent; one of A and B is N, and the other is C-R4 ; R4 is H or an alkyl; and Cp is a compound which can be coupled with a p-phenylenediamine structure developing agent in an oxidized form) is mixed with at least 10wt.% water, 5-60wt.% water-soluble organic solvent and optionally a phase change solvent such as natural wax or a polyethylene wax derivative, a viscosity modifier, a film- forming agent, a dispersant, a surface tension modifier, a resistivity modifier, a surfactant, etc., to obtain an ink jet recording liquid having a viscosity of 40cP or below and a surface tension of 20dyn/cm or above.</p> |
