PURPOSE:To prevent ink drops stuck to the face of a discharge port of a record ing head from dropping and sticking to recording paper by providing a conveying route for guiding of recording media, on which the recording is made with the recording head, in the direction of discharge passing through informa tion provided with the recording head, and also by providing capping means that covers the discharge port provided to the underside of the recording head. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 38, a recording head restoring system H and an ink supply system G are arranged in order from the upside in the title device. A sheet of recording paper 1 or which the recording is made with the recording head 38 is guided horizontally over the recording head 38 and is stored in a discharge stacker 40 after being lowered. As a route for the horizon tal guiding of the recording paper is positioned on a boundary on which opening of the device main body is made, recovery from jamming with the paper becomes easy. As a capping means 41 is provided to the underside of the record ing head 38 for covering of discharge ports of the recording head, capping can be made even in the case of the jamming with the paper without damaging the face of the recording head, and the recording paper will not be stained even in the case of ink leakage. |
