PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent roll-in of cleaning-blade and image deterioration in the initial use even in an image forming device whose cleaning blade width and arrangement are set so that the cleaning blade extends to the outside of the area of a development width and the outside of the area of an image width by being swung. SOLUTION: The width and arrangement of the cleaning blade 16A are set so that the cleaning blade 16A for removing residual toner on an image carrier 11 extends to the outside of the area of the development width and the outside of the area of the image width. In order to decrease friction coefficient between the cleaning blade 16A and the image carrier 11, the device is provided with a lubricant supply means for supplying lubricant to the surface of the image carrier to which the cleaning blade 16A abuts, and swing means 71 and 73 for swinging the cleaning blade 16A in the direction of its width. |
