<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately clean, polish, and cut a tooth face without hurting gingiva and periodontal tissue, by converting dynamic energy transmitted from a holding part to arch motion by a power converting mechanism and moving the tip end element by the converted circular motion. SOLUTION: A motor 2 is equipped inside a holding part 1 to be held by fingers. Rotation of the motor 2 is transmitted by a shaft 3 to a gear 4 in the tip end part 9 and converted by 90 deg. by a gear in the back of the convertor 5. The converted rotation motion is converted to arch motion centering on the fulcrum 7 by slide motion of a shaft on the surface of the convertor 5 and a groove on the main shaft 6 to make the tip end element 8 perform arch motion. Thereby motion along gingiva and periodontal tissue, i.e., motion without harming tissue, is enabled at around gingival crest, interdental papilla, and periodontal pocket, and, since the tooth face is caught by a face, accurate cleaning can be performed.</p> |
