PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely select the number of document input frames and to input handwritten characters corresponding to a user's own taste or personality by providing a document input condition setting means for setting the number of character input frames. SOLUTION: An editing means 1-5 edits document information inputted from an input means 1-1, stores it in a document storage means 1-2, lays out the document information stored in the document storage means 1-2 and displays the laid-out document information on a display means 1-4. A character type discriminating means 1-7 discriminates whether the character data inputted by the input means 1-1 are alphanumerals, KANA, symbols or KANJI and applies the discriminated result to a document input condition setting means 1-6. Corresponding to the class of discriminated characters, the document input condition setting means 106 sets the size of character input frame. Corresponding to the class of character discriminated by the character class discriminating means 1-7, the document input condition setting means 1-6 sets the number of character input frames. |
