<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven pump which is suitable to make a brake function intelligent and miniaturize a device, and a brake device using the motor-driven pump. SOLUTION: A motor-driven pump 1 is equipped with liquid chambers 6, 7 which are compressed and expanded by the advancing and retreating of a piston main body 2 by sandwiching the piston main body 2 of a pump piston 4 driven to be advanced and retreated, and also formed by using an electric actuator 8 equipped with a super magnetostrictive element 34 and an electromagnetic coil 35 to apply magnetic field to the super magnetostrictive element 34, as the driving source of the pump piston 4.</p> |
