<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball which holds a good ball hitting feel, has a large carry and may be easily spun by a short iron, etc. SOLUTION: This golf ball consists of a spherical solid center 1, a thread rubber layer 2 formed by winding thread rubber on the center and a cover 3 formed on the thread rubber layer. The center 1 has a diameter 30 to 38mm and surface hardness 40 to 90 by a JIS-C hardness meter. The hardness difference by the JIS-C hardness meter from the center of the center to the surface of the center is within 5 and the strain quantity when the center is loaded with 30kg from the state of loading the center with initial load of 10kg is 0.5 to 2.5mm. The cover 3 is formed of a base material resin consisting essentially of an ionomer resin. The resin has bending rigidity 50 to 300MPa and hardness >=40 to <60 by a Shore D hardness meter.</p> |
