PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen excessive indications of correct answer candidates for an error part (part which is possibly an error). SOLUTION: A morpheme analysis part 100 converts a text into a word string. AN error part detection part 200 detects an error part in the word string. A correct answer candidate expansion part 300 generates a correct answer candidate group corresponding to the error part. A correct answer candidate verification part 400 selects a correct answer candidate which is really a correct answer candidate out of the correct answer candidate group and outputs a verified correct answer candidate group consisting of selected correct answer candidates. A correct answer probability giving part 410 of the correct answer candidate verification part 400 gives cooccurrence probability to each correct answer candidate by referring to a word cooccurrence probability data base 440. AN error probability calculation part 420 calculates the error probability of the correct answer candidates on the basis of the cooccurrence probability. AN error candidate selection part 430 narrows down the correct answer candidates according to the error probability of the respective correct answer candidates.
