Auxiliary air-conditioning system for vehicles

The system is based on inserting an evaporator 5 between the outlet of the condenser 2 and the outlet of the evaporator 3 of a conventional air-conditioning system. The evaporator 5 is mounted inside a casing 11 with an inlet 12 and an outlet 13 for the air impelled by a fan 15 capable of being cooled by a freezable liquid battery 14 located inside the actual casing 11 of the evaporator 5, in such a manner that, during periods when the conventional equipment is not functioning, this liquid battery 14 is frozen, being able to give up the cold to the air impelled by the fan 15 so that this cold air is conveyed directly to the vehicle passenger compartment, thereby making it possible to cool the latter even when the engine and the conventional air-conditioning system are switched off.
