PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deposit a sprayed metal having fine structure of low porosity on a collector by specifying the partial pressure of inert gas or non-reactive gas in a spraying chamber and adjusting the spraying temp. flown in the spraying chamber and the temp. of an atomizing metal or alloy. SOLUTION: Electric current is conducted onto an induction coil 12 to melt a material of nickel base supperalloy, etc., in a crucible 10. A melting chamber A and the spraying chamber B are held to <=400Torr partial pressure by using the inert gas or the non-reactive gas. At this point of time, the molten supperalloy is received into an overheating molten metal pool part and poured into an atomizer device 18. The atomizer device 18 receives the inert gas from a gas source 23 and sprays the molten supperalloy to the outside surface 104a of the collector 30 rotated in the axial direction. The collector 30 is desirable to preheat previous to the spraying of the molten metal. By this method, the heating condition of the boundary surface to the deposited material can be held to above 1700-1800 deg.F and the porosity in the inner diameter of a cylindrical poured mold product.
|
