<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewage treatment device and an sewage treatment method wherein only bacillus is selectively cultured in an aeration tank utilizing a standard activated sludge method, which is controlled by an image system to remove efficiently organic matters, bad smell, nitrogen, and phosphorus. SOLUTION: In a sewage treatment using a standard activated sludge method, an image system 35 is utilized to culture of dominant bacillus in an aeration tank 15, final settling basin 24, aerobic sludge nitrification tank 38, and sedimentation pond 48 for aerobic sludge nitrification tank, and the image system 35 is so disposed that the bacillus in the tank can be observed in a filamentous bacterizing-sporting-germination process and the results observed by the system 35 are utilized for the adjustment of various kinds of influence factors to enable the removal of organic matters, nitrogen, and phosphorus contained in sewage, whereby bad smell in the tank and malodorous gas can be effectively deodorized and amounts of generated sludge can be remarkably reduced.</p> |
