<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition having good fixability and character quality, having sufficient image density and high solid uniformity and can give a recorded image having improved water resistance and light resistance. SOLUTION: This composition is one essentially consisting of a colorant and a liquid medium, wherein the colorant is a mixture of a plurality of water- soluble anionic dyes each of which has a molecular structure having an anionic hydrophilic group essentially consisting of a sulfonic group or a carboxylic group and a conjugated part having any one selected among an aromatic ring, a phthalocyanine ring, an azo group or a vinylene group and has, in the stereostructural aspect, at least one planarity. The wavelength showing the peak of an absorbance in the visible region of an aqueous solution of the dye shifts by 5nm in the pH region of 3-7.</p> |
