<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink having improved dispersedness of pigment and giving a beautiful recorded image having high rendering properties for blue and red by using a solid solution pigment comprising at least two quinacridone compounds as the magenta pigment. SOLUTION: The quinacridone solid solution pigment used comprises at least two quinacridone compounds selected among unsubstituted quinacridone, 2,9-dimethylquinacridone, 2,9-dichloroquinacridone and 3,10-dichloroquinacridone and has a primary particle diameter in the range of 10-100nm. This pigment may contain a pigment derivative, a polymeric pigment dispersant and a surfactant. An ink having a hue angle of 354-356 deg. is desirable. Although not particularly limited, a desirable example of the process for producing the solid solution consists of condensing and cyclizing at least two 2,5-diarylaminoterephthalic acid derivatives. It is desirable that this pigment is used in an amount of 1.5-10wt.%, based on the ink.</p> |
