In the process and the apparatus the gas current is divided in three partial gas currents; the first partial gas current transports the grinding material to the grinding and friction space of the mill (26) while the second gas current moves around the friction space of the mill; the third partial gas current connects to the side of the mill and receives ground material reduced and dried, transported outside the mill by the first and second partial gas currents in order to transport it to the separator.
