PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the site arrangement of steps for a covered type stairway which contains tread riser and side boards as precut products to be covered at the inclined passage side (the face side of the stairway) by using new supporting members for a stairway structure. SOLUTION: A supporting member 1 for a stairway structure is formed a one-stage structural unit with a horizontal member 11, a vertical member 12 and an angle member 13 in a separatable manner. Each of the members 11, 12, 13 has joint structures at both ends and an arrangement adjusting means 14 at one end, at least, to vary a joint position, so that the units can be firmly fixed to a side wall while being continuously connected together at multistage. The one-stage structural unit may contain a pair of angle members 13 opposing each other. In this way, the site arrangement of steps can be adjusted corresponding to the shape at the lower edge of the side plate. |
