<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a gap by forming a recess on the connection section of one of a rising rail and a porch platform, and inserting and connecting an elastic body to the inside corner portion of the recess between the rising rail and porch platform so that its surface side is exposed. SOLUTION: A recess 7 larger in thickness than a porch platform 2 and having a nearly rectangular cross section is formed over the longitudinal direction of a rising rail 1 at a connection section between the lower end of the columnar rising rail 1 and the porch platform 2. An elastic body 4 is fitted to the horizontal plane formed with the recess 7, an adhesive 6 is applied along the depth side end face of the porch platform 2, the rising rail 1 and porch platform 2 are connected to be flush with each other, and a two-step rail protruded with the rising rail 1 on the end section upper face of the porch platform 2 is formed. A fluorescent paint is applied to the surface of the elastic body 4 to form a fluorescence section 8. When a person passes through the two-step rail in darkness, the fluorescence section 8 luminesces, and he recognizes the position of a step. The gap of the connection section is invisibly hidden by the elastic body 4, and a safe transit is allowed.</p> |
