<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbing tower set so that the treatment quantity of gas to be treated is the same as or more than that of gas to be treated and made in its size as small as possible and made tough in its inlet port part of the gas to be treated from an aspect of structural strength and exhaust desulfurization equipment having the absorbing tower. SOLUTION: In a self-supported square box shaped absorbing tower 1 and a circulating tank 4, the circulating tank 4 disposed to the lower part of gas inlet parts 2a, 2b having rectangular opening parts is formed into a shape expanded from the tower wall of the absorbing tower 1 to lower tower height H. Since the cross section of the absorption tower is rectangular, in the reinforcement of the opening parts of the gas inlet parts 2a, 2b, planar two-dimensional reinforcement is simply performed in the width AL direction and depth AW direction in the horizontal direction of the absorbing tower 1 and the inlet part can be stabilized from an aspect of structural strength. Vertical stirrers 8a, 8b for a slurry are arranged to the ceiling of the expanded part of the tank 4 and an oxidizing horizontal stirrer and horizontal stirrers 8c, 8d for a slurry are arranged to the sidewall of the expanded part not only to uniformly stirr a slurry soln. but also to effectively perform air oxidation.</p> |
