The outward rolling occurs on a mandrel (2). The equipment used has a device for rolling in the edge on the flat body and a further device (8) for rolling out the inwardly rolled edge over a mandrel (2). The device for rolling in the body edge is a wheel with a cupped-out periphery. The device for rolling out the inwardly rolled edge is a tool (8), which in its lower edge locating against the body has an external cupped-out formation. The body used is a flat plate with a circular shape. It is placed centrally on a circular cylindrical mandrel (2) and clamped to it by means of a holder device. Then, its edge is rolled by a tool incorporating a wheel fitted in a holder with two arms and pushed inwards towards the body centre by means of a force on the holder arms. At the same time, the holder and the mandrel are rotated, which also makes the body rotate synchronously. The wheel around its periphery has a cupped-out formation which in cross-section preferably has the shape of a semi-circule. |
