The hole in the upper part of the chamber is covered by a casing in which a channel is formed, the channel being closed by a screw inserted into it. An all-round flange is provided on the upper edge of the lower part, and fits tightly against the lower edge of the upper part when the two parts are in engagement one with the other. The casing is made of polymer chlortrifluorethene, and the rear support for the reaction chamber is made of polytetrafluorethene. The casing is formed as an upwardly and downwardly turned 'T' in cross-section. The inner chamber has a conical bottom to permit removal of small sample volumes to the measurement appts. The interior of the upper part of the reaction chamber is vaulted inwards. |
