<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square chip resistor having a structure with which the square chip resistor is surely mounted without tilting even when it is mounted with a collective mounting device while turning over. SOLUTION: This resistor is constituted with a pair of first top surface electrode layers 2 formed on an insulating substrate 1, a resistance layer 4 overlapping with a part of the first top surface electrode layers 2, a protective layer 6 which entirely covers the resistance layer 4 and overlaps with a part of the first top surface electrode layers 2, a pair of second top surface electrode layers 5 which cover the part on the first top surface electrode layers 2 where the protective layer 6 does not lie on, and a pair of end surface electrode layers 3 overlapping with a part of the second top surface electrode layers 5.</p> |
