PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a transparent conductive member capable of achieving both of high optical transparency and low resistance.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a transparent conductive member comprises the steps of: forming a silver thin film in the state that the surface temperature of the silver thin film formed on a first high refractive index layer consisting of a dielectric material and oxide semiconductor material provided on a transparent substrate and having an optical refractive index at a wavelength of 570 nm higher than that of the transparent substrate is cooled at a temperature of -40°C or more and 10°C or less; and forming a second high refractive index layer having an optical refractive index at a wavelength of 570 nm higher than that of the transparent substrate on the silver thin film using one or more kinds of materials selected from the dielectric material and the oxide semiconductor material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
