PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite metal foil having peel strength stabilized at a low level even after a heating and compression process, and to provide a production method of the same.SOLUTION: A composite metal foil 1 has a structure having a carrier 2 composed of a metal foil, a diffusion preventing layer 3 formed on a surface of the carrier 2, a release layer 4 configured with a metal and formed on the diffusion preventing layer 3 by a physical film deposition method, and a transfer layer 5 configured with a metal and formed on the release layer 4 by a plating method, in which the metal configuring the release layer 4 is an element identical to the metal configuring the transfer layer 5, and the release layer 4 is formed such that it has a predetermined film density by the physical film deposition method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
