PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make plural measurements simultaneously, detouched, in a limited space, of a welding start point, a welding line copying position, a distance between a laser torch and a welding object, and the like. SOLUTION: A face level of butt steel plates W1 and W2 is measured, detouched, for a predetermined length in the horizontal direction crossing the welding line WL, and in the vertical direction of two lines respectively which are substantially parallel to the welding lines of both side, and discontinuous points of measuring level in line with each direction are detected. Position y of the welding line and position z of each steel plates are calculated based on the discontinuous points detected in horizontal direction. Position x near to the weld starting side and weld ending side of the steel plate W1 is calculated based on discontinuous points detected in one vertical line direction. Position x near to the weld starting side and weld ending side of the steel plate W2 is calculated based on discontinuous points detected in the other vertical line direction. |
