<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost for thread sensors, to prevent tape damage caused by vibration, to prevent deviation of a position of head seek, and to keep high reliability in transporting a cartridge, in a magnetic tape device and a library device. SOLUTION: Vibration in a specific state is detected by a vibration detecting section 11 using an output of a tension sensor 20 for detecting a tape tension, and finish of thread and unthread operation is recognized. Also, when vibration is detected during running of a tape, tension feedback is cut. Further, if necessary, tape running is stopped, and stood by until vibration is stopped. Also at the time of standing by of recording/reproducing processing, tension feedback is cut at the time of detecting abnormal vibration. Also, when abnormal vibration is detected at the time of transporting a cartridge, a robot arm 29 is stopped. Stop lock control of a head seek mechanism is strengthened when processing recording/reproducing.</p> |
