SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new thiazolidinediones of the formula (I) <EMI ID=0.95 HE=33 WI=90 TI=CHI> where A means a ring with 5 or 6 carbon atoms or heterocyclic aromatic 5- or 6-membered ring containing S- or N-atom; B means -CH= CH-; W means O; X means O; Y means N; R means pyridyl, thienyl or phenyl that can be substituted if necessary with mono- or disubstituted C<SB>1-3</SB>-alkyl, CF<SB>3</SB>, Cl or bromine; R means C<SB>1-6</SB>-alkyl; n = 2, and their tautomers, enantiomers, diastereomers or physiologically acceptable salts and drug based on thereof. Compounds of the formula (I) shows capability to decrease blood glucose and insulin content and can be used for treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus.
