PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reflection efficiency over a wide range of the reflection directions of a reflection surface and to provide a bright display surface by successively providing the reflector with many stripe grooves having the same R of curvilinear sectional shapes and extending in the same direction and irregularly changing groove widths in such manner as to avoid the occurrence of interference fringes by the reflected light from these grooves. SOLUTION: This reflector 20 is formed by successively providing the surface of a flat planar resin base material 21 consisting of, for example, a resin material, etc., with the many stripe grooves 21a having the same R of the curvilinear sectional shapes and extending in the same direction. A reflection film 22 consisting of a thins film of, for example, aluminum or silver, is formed thereon by vapor deposition or printing, etc. The stripe grooves 21a are so formed that the groove widths of the adjacent stripe grooves vary from each other in a manner as to avoid the generation of the interference fringes by the reflected light from there grooves. The curved surface R is <=100 μm and the groove depth thereof is 1 to 2 μm. |
