PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience and comfortableness of a driver by fitting the length of a seat belt to the physique of the driver, storing this length and always fixing the seat belt with a comfortable length also when the driver wears the seat belt. SOLUTION: On the upper part of a seat belt retractor 10, a belt cord reader 24 and a seat belt fixing device 12 are provided on the extension route of a seat belt 11. The input end of a controller 20 is connected with an adjusting switch 22 for transmitting a signal starting an operation storing the comfortable lengths of occupants after they wear the seat belt 11 and a belt cord reader 24 reading out belt cord information of the seat belt 11. The controller 20 reads out the belt cords corresponding to the length location of each of the occupants in the seat belt 11 from the belt cord reader 24, stores this belt cord, generates an output signal from an output end and supplies the signal by a relay. Thus, the fixing device 12 receives this signal and automatically fixes the seat belt 11 inserting and passing into/through the inside. |
