PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a read enable time of the cordless hand scanner that is removed from a facsimile equipment main body for reading an original. SOLUTION: A charging battery section 26 supplies power to a hand scanner, while it is removed from the main body. A hand scanner moving section 27 has a turning member that is press-contacted with an original face and turned in response to the moving amount of the hand scanner on the original face, a power-generating section 28 connecting to the turning member via a mechanical transmission mechanism generates electrical energy, in response to the turning amount of the turning member and charges the power to the charging battery section. As an alternative power-generating means, a photoelectric converter (solar cell) that coverts an optical energy in a room where the hand scanner is in use into electric energy may be used. |
