CLONING OF BSSH II RESTRICTION ENZYME IN ESCHERICHIA COLI AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an isolated DNA that can combat bacteria and clones the gene by cleaving the DNA molecule and obtain an exact gene fragment by encoding BssH II restriction endonuclease originating from Bacillus stearothermophilus. SOLUTION: This is an isolated DNA coding BssH II restriction endonuclease and is obtained form Bacillus stearothermophilus. The host cells transformed with a recombinant DNA vector comprising a vector into which the DNA fragment coding BssH II restriction endonuclease is inserted are cultured under the conditions suitable for the expression of the endonuclease to produce the objective BssH II restriction endonuclease. This isolated DNA is available from an ATCC No. 98334 strain.
